Climbing the ladder…

Around this level is the most fun you'll have playing Chess. Every few games you'll find something huge in your game that can be improved upon, and fixing it is just so satisfying.

In this section, we want to look at two main components of your game that have the potential to completely change the way your games play out.

Let's get started with some video training!

Training Plan

Again, our training plan doesn't change too much here. A big part of climbing the ladder between 1000 and 2000 is about consistency, so let's keep up this good work!

  • Complete video training

  • Play x5 slow games per day against real players

  • Thoroughly analyze each game (20-30 mins)

  • Train puzzles for 60 minutes per day (woodpecker method)

  • Watch 2 speedrun videos per week on your opening

  • Train endgame positions against an engine for 30 minutes per day

  • Play 1 Solitaire Chess game per day (20 mins)

The aim of the game right now is being thorough in our training, making sure we have quality over quantity, lets keep going!
